Shocking but true, we don't all enjoy football or eating our weight in hot wings. Here are 5 things to do this weekend in Maine, besides watching the Super Bowl.
1. The Portland Polar Dip at East End Beach
Join a host of hearty souls as they plunge into the refreshing (read bone chilling) waters of Casco Bay all to raise funds so children with life-threatening illnesses and their families can spend a week at Camp Sunshine for free. Its not too late to sign up! And if blue is not your preferred choice of lip color, its a great event to spectate. Registration begins at 1pm, the polar dip is at 2pm. For more info or to register www.freezinforareason, click "Portland Polar Dip".
2. White Grass Music and Telemark Ski Festival at Mt Abram in Greenwood
Enjoy free live bluegrass music all day and night! There will also be races, demos and free telemark lessons at 10:30am and 1pm. For more information check out the event page www.mtabram.com.
3. The 2017 Ice Bar and Lounge at Saint Joseph's College in Standish
Join friends, alumni and the local community at The Chalet for the 6th annual event to benefit the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship. Featuring an ice bar, fire pits, indoor lounge, and plenty of food and drink. Winter attire is recommended. Tickets at the door are $30.00 from 4-7pm. The Ice Bar is perfect reason to visit the beautiful campus this year! For more info go to www.sjcme.edu.
4. Kennebunk Winterfest
